About 2 months since i posted. Had been suffering from post graduation depression. lol just joking! Grad was more than a month ago but it seems like it happened yesterday. It was all still so vivid. And i definitely look forward to adding more memories of our class on the coming cardiac gathering on 25th July Saturday. Certainly hoped everyone can attend though i have received replies of unconfirmed attendance. Nevertheless, the anticipation is still there. :)
Yesterday was a great day. Out with the family again! I mean the beanies plus my two son-in-laws ming ming and xinyi so we are officially 'the family'. lol. That was the first time i tasted Pasta de Waraku. Had been hearing lots of comments about the food there, some critisms, some praises. However, i agreed with those that sang praises of the food there. The pizza was thin and crispy like biscuits and the ice cream was tasty too, though not as professional as swensen's. However, the pasta that i have ordered was a bit too oily for my tasting and so, i ended up using two pieces of serviettes to wipe my oil-coated lips. Nevertheless, the meal was really enjoyable and i still feel honoured about the fact that 'the family' treated me to this sumptous meal. Thanks to all of you! The haversack that they gave me as present? That was really what i need when i go to school next time and i apologise for the fact that you guys have to wrack you brains thinking of what to buy for me. Thanks for the effort! And the cake from Secret recipe? The taste is not the main point, the main thing is, all of us took a bite of it and the feeling's great. :) Thanks for the hard work to make yesterday work. Thanks lots. :)
Today was even better, with my two sisters, one brother in law, and my forever so cute nephew dawson. We went to Merchant Court hotel to enjoy a lunch buffet. Initially, i rejected the 'royally' offer cos i thought it was too much for a meal. However, they persuaded me to go and with that, i went to try this out. It was worth it afterall cos of the usuage of the DBS card, which gives an offer of one person free. But even without this offer, the meal was really worth the price! I remembered i started out by walking one round, coming back with an empty plate cos there were basically so much yet so little. I didnt know what to eat! Then it came back to me that i was having a buffet so i can take any food i want! lol. My reaction is always so slow. I started a second round and that was when i started the ball rolling on my 'food spree'. hehe.
The food that i love most was everything but to be more specific would be the 'Shanghai Salad'. I dont know what exactly is the ingredients but it tasted like kway teow. It was sour and a little bit spicy, like thai food. The other one was the yummy apple crumble, always my favourite and with the sweet white topping going with it, i just cant stop eating until my second sis took my plate away cos she was holding my birthday cake! Mango tiramisu, a perfect match of sweetness of the mango, bitterness of the tiramisu and spongy soft taste of the cake. Again, i love the fact that everyone takes a bite of the birthday cake. Heehee. It was terrific.
But thats not all! They played a small tiny game with me, letting me choose one red packet out of the three red packets that they were holding. Luck was not with me. lol I chose one that contained only $2.00. They decided to give me another chance and i chose one that contained $10.00. Told you! I think i used the 'elimination method' lol. They were so nice (like me) as they decided to let me off and gave me the red packet with the highest amount of cash in it. How fortunate and lucky! heehee. I was overjoyed and surprised by what happened today until i was in a stance. My sis commented that my response was a bit dull, like i wasnt happy at all. However, it is the direct opposite! I am overjoyed inside and filled with euphoria. I just didnt know how to express myself. I guess i had over-practiced the technique of hiding my real emotions. lol.
Last but not least, Im really gonna thanks all those who accompanied me for yesterday and today cos it was really the most splendid days ever! Thanks and all your efforts would be kept right inside my heart. The most important thing to me is that all of you make it a point to do this and the best gift ever was your presence. Thank you :)
